Departments
Stratos is made up of five main teams that work through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
3D Drafting/Design
Models the UAV's airframe in 3D CAD and prepares it for manufacturing together with the mechanical team. Responsible for the durability, assembly, and mechanics of our drones.
Software
Develops autonomous flight algorithms, computer vision, and ground-station software on ArduPilot and OpenCV. Writes the autonomous mission logic and owns the software side of every project.
Electronics
Designs our PCBs; integrates the flight controller, ESCs, motors, and sensors; tests power distribution and telemetry links. Owns everything electrical.
Sponsorship
Reaches out to organizations to secure sponsors; handles the pitch deck, reporting, and brand partnerships. Also designs our social media posts.
